Who controls your data
The Residence Casino is operated by BlockBets Entertainment Limitada (Registration Number 3-102-909291), and that company acts as the data controller responsible for the personal information described on this page. We licence and run the site under the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros, licence number ALSI-202412013-FI1, which you can verify on the public register.
This policy explains, in plain terms, what we gather and why. It applies to anyone aged 19 or over who registers, deposits, plays or simply browses. Questions? You can reach us through the contact page at any time.
What we collect and the reasons behind it
We only ask for what the account, the law and your safety require. Some data you hand us directly; some is generated as you play.
- Identity and contact details — name, date of birth, address, email and phone. We need these to open your account, confirm you are of legal age, and reach you.
- Verification documents — government-issued photo ID, a selfie holding that ID, and a recent bank statement or utility bill. These support our anti-fraud and know-your-customer obligations, which apply when lifetime deposits pass EUR 5,000 or on any withdrawal request.
- Financial information — deposits, withdrawals and the payment method used, such as Visa, PayPal, Trustly or MuchBetter.
- Gameplay and account activity — bets, sessions, bonus history and VIP tier progress.
- Technical data — IP address, device type, browser and cookie identifiers.
Why gather all of this? To provide the service, keep the platform secure, prevent money laundering, and meet our regulatory duties.
How long we keep it
Retention is not open-ended. While your account is active, we keep your information to run it. After closure, we hold certain records — identity, transactions and verification documents — for the period that gambling, anti-money-laundering and tax law demand. Once no legal reason to retain data remains, we delete or anonymise it securely.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We do share it, carefully and only where needed, with trusted parties:
- Payment and banking providers to process deposits and withdrawals.
- Identity and KYC verification partners to confirm who you are.
- Fraud-prevention and analytics services that help us keep accounts safe and the platform working.
- Regulators and authorities, including the Anjouan Offshore Financial Authority, where the law requires disclosure.
Each processor is bound by contract to protect your data and use it only for the purpose we set.
The legal grounds we rely on
Processing without a lawful basis would be unlawful, so each use maps to one of the following. Performance of our contract with you covers running your account and handling bets and payouts. Legal obligation covers age checks, KYC, tax and anti-fraud record-keeping. Legitimate interests cover fraud prevention, security monitoring and improving the site. Consent covers optional marketing and certain cookies — and you may withdraw it whenever you like.
Keeping play safe and private
Protecting your data goes hand in hand with protecting you. If gambling stops being fun, support is available. In Ontario, ConnexOntario answers around the clock on 1-866-531-2600, and national resources are listed at responsiblegambling.org. You can also set limits and self-exclusion through our responsible gambling tools, and the data tied to those controls is treated with the same care as everything else.
Your rights and how to use them
You hold a set of rights over your personal data, and we aim to make them easy to exercise. You may request access to the data we hold, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, request erasure where no legal duty stops us, ask for portability of data you gave us, and object to or restrict certain processing. Marketing consent can be withdrawn at any moment.
To make a request, contact our support team by live chat or email — both run 24/7 in English. We respond within the timeframes the law sets. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may complain to the relevant data-protection authority in the licence jurisdiction. Our cookie practices sit in a separate document; the categories and controls are described in our cookies notice, cross-referenced from the terms.
